Now, we have chosen our final song, but last things has to be done before we start to produce our own version of this song. It is a permission for -COPYRIGHT-But in this case is kind of complicated. Calvin Harris is singed by Columbia Records, however when I was looking for their company details I found out that our song Calvin Harris -Feel So Close has Sony Music label.
Sony Music Entertainment is a parent company of Columbia Records, but the Columbia Records is distributing its product within Sony Music Entertainment. So it is a 'mother' and 'daughter' company which still has strong relationship with each other.
Ok, but still I have no idea to whom I should write. I think the best thing is to write to both of them -Sony Music and Columbia Records.
