inspiring videos

These videos are the most expiring to us:

Ollie Murs- My Heart Skips A Beat.

I think this is practiculary inspiring because of the dancers. We have many shots and camera works on them, we
might look at this before filming and thing about what shots and camera movement we're gonna use.

  • Slow motion on one dancer at 0:17. High angle shot. We don't see his face so our attention is brought to his dance moves.
  • jump cuts on the girl with hula hoop at 1:03, which I think make it more interesting and professional to watch.
  • skateboarder at 1:15. Long shot + high angle + slow motion. will work in our video. through the use of high angle, we don't see the whole skate park, but the bit where he's riding, our attention is brought to him=cleaver !
  • at 1:19 the camera pans while the boy rides past !! looks really good, as we are following him/ looking at him.
  • 2:03 mid shots of different dancers, we can see the others in the background. mise en scene shows it's a dancing activity, but we are 'introduced' to the dancers which I think creates a strong connection with the audience.

The Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling
Even thought the song is fast and upbeat, some parts are in slow motion, which I think is very effective. This is what we want to have in our video. "Feel So Close" is upbeat, but some parts will be edited in slow motion too.
example: 2:31

Maroon 5 Maaron 5- Moves Like Jagger ft. Christina Aguilera
So here, what I particularly like is the quick shots in editing, during the chorus.
2:40

DJ Fesh- Louder
Here, we also have young people doing something- an activity. I think we can be inspired by a good shots used in the video:
  • 0:09- close up on the roller skaters
  • the camera moves with the girls throughout, therefore the video seems to be move lively.
  • the teenagers move to the beat with I think looks REALLY good and is something we should consider BEFORE filming our video.
  • again, use of slow motion in 0:45
