Last week editing - Wednesday

Today is Wednesday. This was really hard day. We had done lots of work. Our editing session start at 9 am , as we had a 3 hour media lesson. 

On Monday, we have been told that we should take one more shot of base track. We had only done in, in the skate park and because we want to show different kinds of activity and interest, our artist should not only be showed in one location. It does not reflect on the rest of the shots and clips. 

Our lesson plan was:

• 9 am - 10.30 am - editing
• 10.30-12.15 am - shooting another base tract

However, as we began to edit, we have faced another BIG, BIG PROBLEM. As we were copy/paste or move clips to put them in the right place, more that half of the footage has moved with no reason.

We tried to bring back to their oryginal place but they all have move in different way. This messed up all the base track. Each of them did not much a soundtrack. Also another clips from different location like art room/skatepark/piano has also moved. We have spend about an hour to bring everything back but without the luck. After conversation with one of the technician, we decided to start a 'New Project' and place all the base track and clips in the right place. This actually was much easier, and if we would do it at the beginning we would safe lots of time.

In the meanwhile, we had to arrange a free, media class to film our last base track. However we could not start at the time we wanted to, because the mock exam was held.

About 11.30 am we finished to 'tidying up' our footage and we started to film. We only took one change to film it, because we were running out of time. We also took a test footage to check if our idea would work.

However it went really well. This base track has fulfilled and completed our music video. It was exactly what we needed. 

About 12 pm we had finished and start to edit. But we decided to stay as long as we could, but with few difficulties.

• 12 pm - 1.15 pm - Me, Ada, Evie and Robert
• 1.15 pm- 3 pm - Robert had to go 
• 3. pm- 5 pm - Evie had to go, but me and Ada stayed and tried to finished it off

Because of what happened before will of the footage, we were checking and saving every time when we were  making changes in the timeline. Unfortunately, we had no change to complete the music video. However only 20 second has left, and we already decided what shots we are going to put.

Everything is coming together, with nice based structure. It is looking really nice. I am looking forward to finish it.
