Filming - Piano session

We went to my house in Leyton to film, as I had a piano we could use and I was willing to use glitter on it and use it in the living room. We could have asked permission to use the piano/keyboard in college but we thought it would be inconvenient for the music students. Also it would be ambitious  to use the glitter in college as it would be really hard  to clean up.

We used red glitter on the piano, to show the passion that is going into playing it as the colour connotes love. While we were using it (blowing it towards the camera on the acetate covering), we discovered that by moving the spot light around, the glitter on the floor was sparkling. So we decided to use footage of this as it gives a disco effect.

While filming the close up of my shoes (converse), I came up with the idea that our music video could be sponsored by 'Nike' and 'Converse', as both of these brands are shown  and clearly seen in the video, which the companies could use to promote their products. It also brings mise en scene to the video which represents the style of costume through out the video.

Props:
Acetate
Marker Pen
Piano
Music sheets
Glitter
Camera
Equipment
Spotlight

Filming...*We should have used a spotlight stand!* (Health and safety)

This is our trick to the interaction between the glitter (and paint in other scene) and the lens, people think that it is on the lens but the acetate protects the lens while still seeing clearly.

Costume:

'Love' shirt
Connotes passion, and wearing it whilst playing links the passion of piano playing.

Colourful bracelets
Expresses creativity and a colourful atmosphere.

Music note robot necklace
Links with music and is a modern fashion jewellery piece.

Glitter eye make up
The sparkle of the glitter creates a shimmer effect whilst in the light.

Converse

Promoted through out the video.
