Last week editing has begun. We still have lots of work to do. I feel like we are in the middle of nowhere. However, very slowly we are moving forward to get whole project done.
Unfortunately as always as you are in hurry, unexpected things are happening.
On the Monday, we have a media lesson. We all have happily come ready and excited about editing. But we had no chance to use whole time, because of the problem with 'Render'.
On that day, during lunch time I used a media workshop to catch up with editing. I spent that time on the colour filters, which I have learnt along with the music video editing.
However, I did not realised that when I will change the colour of the footage, I would have to render all the time when I change/move/cut/insert a new sequence into the timeline. At the beginning it was not a problem, so I was exited to show to the rest of the group what I did.
As we started to put on more of the editing, there was a time to render of course. There is no change to skip rendering because the footage will go ito 'unrendered'. This would unable us to see what we done.
Unfortunately, we have been surprised. But in negative way. The time of rendering a sequence with 25 second duration took about 15 minutes each, and we have to render it couple of time. We even when to Micky ( he is a technician) and asked for help. He spent about 10 minutes and tried to work out how to skip the render each time we do something. However, again he did not find any solution for us. Also we had to put the rough cut into the blogger which took also quite a lot of our invaluable time.
Monday was very stressful and as a group we are facing lots of annexing, that we won't have enough time to finish everything before the deadline. And the deadline is on Friday.
But thumbs up. we can do it !
