Print Screen of my CD cover in Photoshop |
In class we practised how to use photoshop and making a practise CD cover using images of our media teacher, Dan. My first thought was to come up with a name, in which I chose 'Rocket Dan'. With this, I chose a cosmic theme of Space. To show this, I started off with an image of space filled with stars and I copied and pasted it to cover the whole album cover as a background. I then found an image of the world, and cropped it so that it looks realistic amongst the background. This is where the album title 'Out Of This World'. I used the magnetic lasso tool to crop around Dan, so that no un-needed white space can be seen. I placed him infront of the world so that he appears larger to that he normally is, to look superior. Rebecca suggested to put a Star Trek badge on Dan's shirt, but unfortunately I didn't have time!
I used a Bold, blue font to contrast with the black background so that it can be clearly seen, however it could be slightly difficult for some people. For the bottom of the back cover, I included a rocket graphic in the corner, amongst the record label logo. I also added copyright information, including the producer and the website.
